Cabreiroá joins up with surfing in its support for sport
Cabreiroá strengthens its link to sport by adding a new area to its sponsorships: surfing. Its partner in this new venture will be the World Surf League (WSL), whom it will support in the next few months during the championships that the organisation is in charge of in Spain.
This link to the WSL, which we initiated in August with the backing of the Pantin Classic event in A Coruña, is completed by the support of the other two events that the WSL holds in Spain in 2019 to which our Cabreiroá mineral water lends its name: Cabreiroá Las Américas Pro Tenerife (Tenerife, between 4 and 10 February) and Cabreiroá Pro Zarautz (San Sebastián, in May).
The recent XXL Illa Pancha Challenge waves event held in Ribadeo must be added to the list of events held by this entity in Spain, which has allowed a series of important competitions of international renown in the surfing world to be brought together under the Cabreiroá umbrella, enabling the brand to materialise its support for the sport.
What is the World Surf League?
The World Surf League or WSL is the entity in charge of organising an annual professional surf competitions tour, the league of leagues if we speak about the surf industry, by hosting the most famous and popular competitions in this sport. The WSL travels with the best international male and female surfers, currently over 1000, to the most remote and exotic places in the world.
Cabreiroá Las Américas Pro Tenerife
Between 4 and 10 February, the ‘Cabreiroá Las Américas Pro Tenerife’ will be held on the Playa de Las Palmeras in Tenerife, the only qualifying competition in the Canary Islands for the surf world circuit and the secondEuropean Qualifying Series in 2019.
This competition brings together 150 specialists on the international surf circuit in different categories from France, Portugal, United Kingdom, Germany, Colombia, the USA, Africa, Ireland, Asia, as well as a great representation of Spanish surfers. Rubén Vitoria, 2018 champion, and Nadia Erostarbe, European junior champion, are just some of the confirmed participants for this 2019 Cabreiroá Las Américas Pro Tenerife.
