As of this year the DéporCampus, which will involve over 2,000 children, will have Cabreiroá as its main sponsor. Our CEO, Ignacio Rivera and Tino Fernández, president of the Real Club Deportivo, today presented this sports programme that reinforces the bond between the Hijos de Rivera brand and Dépor, and Cabreiroá’s support of grassroots sport, in this case through the DéporCampus.

After the presentation, Ignacio Rivera stated, “Cabreiroá reinforces its support of the DéporCampus as sports programmes that encourage sport and healthy habits among children who enjoy sports”.

Tino Fernández stated “we are very grateful to Hijos de Rivera for their firm and constant support of the Real Club Deportivo and, in this specific case, of the DéporCampus Cabreiroá. This activity is a clear example of our social responsibility and sports promotion policies. For over a month, we welcome children in our facilities, where all our players train, who have the dream of becoming football players but overall, children who want to enjoy a different summer and have fun on the pitches of their city’s team. It is, undoubtedly, a unique and unforgettable Dépor experience for them all”.

The DéporCampus Cabreiroá are mixed and led by Real Club Deportivo coaches. The aims are, for both players and goalkeepers, to teach the skills and concepts in relation to the opponents and team mates, but overall, to transmit the values that Dépor represents: respect, solidarity, fair play, friendship, integration, hard work and happiness.

The DéporCampus Cabreiroá have been growing steadily since the arrival of the current Deportivo Board of Directors. It has grown from having just one site and under a hundred children in 2013 to the current 11 sites. This summer 4 new sites will make their debut (As Pontes, Santiago, Ordes and Zas) in addition to the existing ones in Abegondo, Viveiro, Rianxo, Bertamiráns, Ferrol, Monforte and Geneva. 1,548 boys and girls (1,068 of them in Abegondo) participated in the 2016 edition of the DéporCampus Cabreiroá. This year, at the main venue, the Ciudad Deportiva of the Real Club Deportivo, the activity will increase from 3 to 5 weeks (the last week in June and all July), during which it is estimated there will be over 2,000 participants.

As of this 2017 edition, all the DéporCampus Cabreiroá management will be done on its new webpage: deporcampus.rcdeportivo.es. All the general information about the DéporCampus Cabreiroá can be found there, as well as detailed information about the different venues.
