A Coruña gets ready for the II Music Week

A Coruña’s Semana de la Musica (Music Week) organisers and collaborators met up this morning in Jazz Filloa (A Coruña) to present the second edition of this event that emphasises the value of live music by proposing a range of musical activities from the 12 to 18 June.

To celebrate the Día Internacional de la Música (International Music Day), Clubtura (the association of live music venues) and ACCES (the national association of live music venues) are organising this event, with the support of public and private bodies, with the aim of creating an environment for debate and work for the sector professionals and, at the same time, including the general public in the project by offering a wide range of activities that they can participate in.

Last year, the I Music Week turned A Coruña into a music lover’s capital. Hundreds of programmers, producers, managers and musicians, among many others, took part in this week full of musical and cultural activities in the city to highlight the importance of live music.

And, as positive experiences tend to be repeated, the event’s organisers and collaborators have set the II Semana de la Música (II Music Week) in motion, presenting it this morning at the emblematic Jazz Filloa in A Coruña.

At this meeting, part of the programme for this new edition was revealed, which will be completed in the next few days, always with live music at the centre of all the activities.

At the centre of the programme are five concerts, five unmissable dates co-organised by the collaborators, among which is our music project SON Estrella Galicia, to be held at the five venues associated to the event.

In order to cater for all the public, in addition to the live concerts, there will be workshops, talks and professional debates, as well as a number of leisure and cultural events related to other artistic disciplines such as film, photography and literature.
