Cabreiroá, second biggest on-trade brand in Spain
In order to adapt to the market and our consumers’ needs year after year, we have carried out an upgrade of machinery and equipment in our Cabreiroá bottling plants in Agua de Cuevas and Fontarel, which allows us to continue to be efficient and forms part of the Strategic Plan 2017-2019.
In the case of Cabreiroá, there has been an investment of over 4.5million euros in recent years, including a new labelling systems as well as a new filler and packaging changes.
For 2017, we aim to expand the facilities, for which an investment of more than 7 million euros over the next three years is needed, representing the start of an important expansion in our storage facilities, increasing storage space and closing deals for the purchase of new machinery.
In addition, the company has supported the brand’s expansion via a number of tools that have been a great success, such as recent advertising campaigns, the change of packaging and the increase in formats, synergies created with other springs, and the licensing partnership with children’s products such as Paw Patrol and Super Wings.
Each of these measures will allow us to continue to be different, with new offerings to surprise our consumers, and making it possible for Cabreiroá to position itself in second place in Spain in the on-trade sector in both still and sparkling mineral water. We closed last year with an increase in production of 19%, bottling a total of 72.5 million litres, in addition to the fact that in the last 3 years, the increase in volume by litres has topped 43%, a record figure in the sector.
